CPEDI Frequently Asked Questions

Horse Inspection

Riders must present their horses at the "trot-up" the day before the event. During this process, members of the "Ground Jury" and the Veterinary Delegate will verify the horses' identities using their passports and microchips, as well as assess their overall soundness and fitness to compete.

Draw

The "draw," which determines when each horse and rider combination will start in a competition, takes place the day before the event, rather than after entries close. This adds to the excitement and tension, particularly for the riders, and means that individual starting times cannot be ahead of the show.
